The rotary kiln needs to operate under high temperature and heavy load conditions. The rotary kiln is a key part that affects the performance and service life of the rotary kiln. Therefore, the material of the roller needs to have high strength, high wear resistance and good heat resistance. We generally use 42CrMo or 35CrMo alloy casting steel materials. These alloy steels have high strength, high hardness and good wear resistance, and can maintain stable mechanical properties under high temperature environments, ensuring that the roller maintains stable performance under high temperature and heavy load environments, extending service life and reducing maintenance costs.
Support Rollers
The support roller is made of cast steel materials such as ZG55 or 35SiMN, 40CrMO, or forged steel. The steel castings need to be tempered and normalized to refine the metal structure and homogenize the metallographic structure. The HB hardness of the support wheel reaches 190-210 to meet the heavy-load and wear-resistant standards of the support roller.
The support rollers bearing group supporting wheel device can be divided into sliding bearing supporting wheel group and rolling bearing supporting wheel group according to the bearing used. When the rotary kiln is small in size, the rolling bearing supporting wheel group is used. The rolling bearing supporting wheel group has the advantages of simple structure, convenient maintenance, small resistance, reduced power consumption and simple manufacturing. When the rotary kiln is large in size, the sliding bearing supporting wheel group is used.
Thrust Rollers
The rotary kiln cylinder is tilted and placed on several thrust rollers and support rollers. In order to limit the cylinder from sliding down and make the rollers and support rollers wear evenly over the entire width to extend the service life of the equipment, a thrust roller device is installed on the rotary kiln.
The material of the thrust rollers is basically the same as that of the support rollers. It needs to be tempered and normalized to refine the metal structure and homogenize the metallographic structure to meet the heavy load and wear resistance standards of the support rollers.
