Industrial Food Dehydrator

Industrial Food Dehydrator

Industrial food dehydrator is a device used to remove moisture from food. It can be used to dehydrate vegetables, fruits, meat, and fish. After dehydration, these foods can reduce the volume and weight of the food, extend its shelf life, and facilitate storage and transportation. In addition, after dehydration by an industrial dehydrator machine, the taste and flavor of the food can be improved, making it richer.

What is a food dehydrator?

Industrial food dehydrator machine uses the principle of evaporation of water after water is heated and boiled. By exposing the food to a high temperature environment, the water evaporates from the structure of the food, thereby drying the food.

Industrial food dehydrator machine is mainly composed of a heating system, an evaporation system, a dehumidification system and a control system. During operation, the food to be dehydrated is first placed on the tray of the dehydrator, and then the appropriate dehydration time and temperature are set through the control system.

The dehydrator heats the food at the set temperature to evaporate the water from the food, and then the steam is discharged through the dehumidification system to complete the dehydration process.

The food dehydrator uses the boiling properties of water. When food is exposed to high temperatures, the water in it begins to heat up and transform into steam. As the steam forms, the dry ingredients in the food begin to become more concentrated.

The steam diffuses to the surface of the food, undergoes a reversible transformation, and then evaporates from the food.

The generation of steam requires heat, which is why high temperatures are used. Once the water molecules reach the boiling point, the liquid water will turn into gas and evaporate quickly.

After the water in the food evaporates, the dehumidification system of the industrial dehydrator will discharge the steam in time to maintain a stable dehydration environment.

The efficiency of a food dehydrator depends on several factors, including temperature, type of food, and thickness. Higher temperatures generally speed up the dehydration process, but too high a temperature can adversely affect the quality of the food.

Because different types of food have different water content and other ingredients, the temperature settings and dehydration times during the dehydration process will also vary.
